Programme updated.

The Institutes specialist conference series has been running for over 10 years but 2021 is the first year we have taken them online. Our first virtual specialist conference on habitat improvement was a real success so we are now following it up with a second event

The aim of the conference is to highlight the broad range of technologies that are now being employed in the fisheries and aquatic ecology sector and how they can be used to maximum effect.

We have brought together a wide range of speakers from academia, government agencies, River Trusts, and consultancies for a day of talks and discussion. We are also pleased to be able to welcome speakers from Europe to the conference

Conference sessions will cover:

Monitoring
Observing Fish Behaviour
Emerging Technology
The programme takes in a diverse range of subjects from water quality monitoring in fisheries to tracking invasive pink salmon and includes new mapping technology and remote cameras on route. There is something for everyone engaged in fisheries work no matter what the area of specialism

The conference programme can be downloaded below

Technology Conference Programme

The conference will be held on Zoom and full login details and guidance will be sent out to all delegates in advance

Full CPD points are available for Chartered delegates
