Fishing enthusiast required to deliver excellent customer service and fabulous fishing holidays as ghillie for guests at stunning Horncliffe Fishings Tweed (between the villages of Horncliffe and Norham on the river's south bank). As Head Boatman to keep the beat clean, well maintained and groomed to the highest possible standard is an essential objective as well as being the foundation for optimising guest experiences. The successful candidate will be personable and a knowledgeable freshwater fly-fishing enthusiast who is a good communicator.

Essential experience / skills: Job requires boatman to be able to chest wade and handle Tweed boats in all seasons. Successful applicant will also be tidy/well-presented and have good organisational and management skills. Full valid driving licence essential. Strong aptitude for use of full range of ground care machinery. The head boatman at Horncliffe needs to be able to ghillie for up to 6 rods (anglers) but also work on their own for during period when the focus of the role is river bank and estate maintenance.

Experience / skills helpful but not essential: Qualified chainsaw operator; PA1 + PA6W spray operator; First Aid Training; Customer Service Training. Ability to drive a trailer on a public road. Knowledge of land and property maintenance.
